25. Completing a crochet project *

Kasey first taught me to crochet, but I didn’t keep with it and I forgot, so Mutti had to re-teach me. Since then, I’ve made a few scarves and an afghan. The scarves have gotten increasingly better, but the afghan was terrible. Someday, I hope to make an afghan I’m proud of.
Crocheting itself makes me happy because it requires focus. The repetitive movements are soothing. I can just get lost in it, and when I come back, I feel rejuvenated.
Completing a project makes me feel happy because it’s a skill, an accomplishment.
