The great thing about this is that it really isn't a diet when you get into it... the author suggests eating 6 smaller meals per day instead of 3 bit ones and the 12 foods (it's an acronym... "ABS DIET POWER" foods) are ones that, if you pack into your diet, in some cases replacing food that really isn't good for you with food that is, the results will happen fairly quickly.

I'm not huge on nutrition... Up until about 3 years ago, my metabolism was running so high due to high school and then college sports, I could eat as much as I wanted of whatever I wanted and not see any problems. ... But that all changed when I stopped playing, and that's why I'm getting back into shape now!

I hope that helps!

@pointspecial: Wow! I usually steer clear of "diets," but I need to change something, and this sounds very promising. I've been focusing on making one change in my life at a time so they stick. I think I've got this one (exercise) in the bag. Food is next.

@online alarm clock: Hey thanks! I already liked the one I linked to, but these are great! I've added your site to the bottom of the post. Danke!

Regarding the online alarm clock...check out another one, with a black background and customizable clock size:

http://onlineclock.net

By the way, you can find lots of different online alarm clocks (ie: 24 hour clock, stopwatch, countdown timer) on our sitemaps page:

http://onlineclock.net/about/

Thanks dude & Grüsse aus Berlin

vxLinden,

re: the Men's Health stuff... they have LOADS of info on their website in terms of foods that are good to eat. I bought the book "Abs Diet" and it details 12 types of food that, in their opinion, should be packed in people's diets because they have great properties. They're the types of food that will work for you in terms of getting in shape, building muscle, and losing weight, especially when paired with working out. I started it last August but stopped after about a month... and I lost 10 pounds without even working out. Now that I AM working out, I'm thinking of restarting and taking care of the nutrition side of things!
