@bejewell: That is a great idea, Charity Choice really makes it personal. A bonus: no clutter for the receiver, a warm heart, and a better world!

Last year we gave everyone on our list gift cards to Charity Choice, which has a great web site with a huge number of charities to choose from. The recipient goes to the web site, enters the card number, and chooses the charity (or charities) of their choice... anything from Habitat for Humanity to Susan G. Komen to the Human Society. It was a fun way to give and let the receivers actively participate in the donation, instead of just donating to our favorites in their name. Plus, great option for people who are hard to shop for!!

@lifestudent: I bet it is! And I bet the distraction doesn't help, but she sure is worth it, huh?

My husband is really hard to shop for too. Sometimes, I get him something I think he'll like and it's not good at all. But sometimes I hit it right on the nose. I think that's happened once. :)

ARRRHH. Shopping for the holidays is impossible with a baby. Ive tried to do lots on the internet but you need to hit the stores and look around in order to get great ideas. Ive done some, but Im not done ... and totally stumped on my hubby. I got him some tools, but thats not FUN. I need something thats less practical and more enjoyable and can't think of anything while cleaning poop & puke ;)
