I don’t usually post survey-type memes on this blog (for me, those usually belong in a Facebook note), but after being tagged by both Sarah and Teresa, I just couldn’t hold out any longer.

8 Things I Am Looking Forward To

  1. July 31: Moving to Berlin for our last 6 weeks in Germany
  2. August 14: Celebrating 5 exciting years as Mrs. Robert Mueller
  3. August 13-15: Rob has planned a little surprise getaway for our 5th. He wasn’t even going to tell me until the night before, but something came up professionally (creolistics workshop) and he had reveal that he had something planned. FUN!
  4. September 10: Moving home to Springfield!
  5. September 10: Being in the same state as most of my family and friends
  6. September 10: Did I mention I’m excited about September 10, 2009?
  7. October 18: Daniel and Edi’s wedding
  8. November 23: I’ll become Auntie Lindy for the first time (thanks, Daniel and Edi!)

8 Things I Did Yesterday

  1. Woke up at 8
  2. Taught two General Language Courses
  3. Graded some vocabulary presentations
  4. Uploaded a ton of documents (past quizzes with answers) to Stud.IP (Germany’s version of Blackboard)
  5. Cried at one of my students’ This I Believe essays
  6. Set a high score in Flight Control (237 planes landed!)
  7. Went to bed at 12
  8. Dreamt that I was on a–get this–inflatable boat (?) with the ex-husband of one of my friends (?!) and we were riding around the very compact and busy harbor. Very strange.

8 Things I’d Like To Do

  1. Become a mommy
  2. Earn my PhD
  3. Run some more marathons
  4. Learn to ride a unicycle
  5. Visit the Great Wall of China
  6. Go to Oktoberfest
  7. Learn to play the guitar
  8. Ride a gondola in Venice
