I don’t usually post survey-type memes on this blog (for me, those usually belong in a Facebook note), but after being tagged by both Sarah and Teresa, I just couldn’t hold out any longer.
8 Things I Am Looking Forward To
- July 31: Moving to Berlin for our last 6 weeks in Germany
- August 14: Celebrating 5 exciting years as Mrs. Robert Mueller
- August 13-15: Rob has planned a little surprise getaway for our 5th. He wasn’t even going to tell me until the night before, but something came up professionally (creolistics workshop) and he had reveal that he had something planned. FUN!
- September 10: Moving home to Springfield!
- September 10: Being in the same state as most of my family and friends
- September 10: Did I mention I’m excited about September 10, 2009?
- October 18: Daniel and Edi’s wedding
- November 23: I’ll become Auntie Lindy for the first time (thanks, Daniel and Edi!)
8 Things I Did Yesterday
- Woke up at 8
- Taught two General Language Courses
- Graded some vocabulary presentations
- Uploaded a ton of documents (past quizzes with answers) to Stud.IP (Germany’s version of Blackboard)
- Cried at one of my students’ This I Believe essays
- Set a high score in Flight Control (237 planes landed!)
- Went to bed at 12
- Dreamt that I was on a–get this–inflatable boat (?) with the ex-husband of one of my friends (?!) and we were riding around the very compact and busy harbor. Very strange.

- Become a mommy
- Earn my PhD
- Run some more marathons
- Learn to ride a unicycle

I cant believe you’ll be home so soon. Its gotta be freaky transitioning from the european lifestyle to this one. Traffic, strip-malls & Starbucks … horray!
@Lorraine: Blog funk. I hear ya. I have had several ideas for blogging in the last few months, but when it came down to it, I just didn’t feel like writing them down. Something snapped in me the other day, though, and I think I’m out of the slump now. :)
@lifestudent: I know! Me neither! It’ll be here before I know it. I am looking forward to traffic, actually, because it means that I will have a car instead of a bike for grocery shopping. Cannot wait for that. Cannot wait.
