LindenAMueller.com Goes Live

Today was very productive. We got all of our American Christmas shopping done, and I finished LindenAMueller.com! Until just a few minutes ago, if you visited LindenAMueller.com, you’d see a diversion. But you should go look at it right now… It’s purty.

Whaddya think? I really like it, and even though it only houses my curriculum vitae, a page of my favorite links, a link to this blog, and a contact form, it’s a significant start.

Count me in for NaBloPoMo 2008!

NaBloPoMo? I know exactly what you are thinking: “What the heck does that mean?” It’s National Blog Posting Month and it means that for the month of November, I will be posting one blog post a day. Dr. Cadle (the blogosphere queen, in my book) is doing it, and so is Daily Adventures in a Semi-Boring Life, and it seems like everyone has their own reasons for attempting such a feat, so here are 5 reasons I decided to join in.

Say Hello to LindenAMueller.com!

I got some birthday money and decided to finally buy my own domain, lindenamueller.com. Right now, it is only hosting my new fancy schmancy Wordpress blog (finally made the switch from Blogger), but in the near future

Blog Changes: New Design and Layout

I’ve been changing things around Linden’s Pensieve a little bit lately. The most noticeable change is the design. Following a step-by-step color scheme selection guide I found at Blogger’s Guide, I chose two colors and built the new design off of those colors. (Spiral and Disk, if you’re curious.) Next, I went to BgPatterns (thanks to typografika‘s linking to it in Diigo), got some inspiration (click on “Recently Created Pattens” in the bottom half), then

Blog Changes: AdSense

This is probably the blog change that I feel most unsure about. I have recently added some advertising to my blog. What I like about Google’s AdSense advertising is that it is related to the context, so you should always see ads related to what I am writing about. I like that versus random advertising. [...]

Blog Changes: Subscribe via Email

Okay, here’s a quiz. Let’s start of with an easy one. Who knows what a “feed reader” is? A few of you out there… Okay, now who uses one? A few less; okay, that’s fair. Raise your eHand if you know what “RSS” stands for? Two hands? Hmm. I’m not surprised. It’s okay–the goal on [...]

Blog Changes: Open Comments

I had previously limited comments to those with Google accounts because I hate getting spam comments. But this limits the people who can comment on my posts, not that that is a bad thing… I don’t want those five of you who regularly engage me in conversation by commenting to stop commenting, so don’t think [...]

Linden’s Pensieve Top 10s

After Sarah reported her blog analytics, I just had to look at mine. And then I decided I might as well post them too. After all, I found her post interesting, so I figure that maybe some of my readers might find my analytics lists interesting. Plus, if you have a blog and want to [...]

Blog Changes: Open Blog

Well, with the goal of allowing people to read this more easily, I’ve changed this blog from “Invite Only” to “Anyone is Allowed.” I had to go back and unpublish a few posts, but I’m okay with that. I’m ready to forget those things anyway. So if you’re reading this for the first time, welcome! [...]

The Best of Linden’s Pensieve

These are my favorite posts and your favorite posts, as determined by number of comments and Google Analytics data. Can You Sum Up Your Entire Life in Six Words? My contribution to the six-word memoir meme that has swept the blogosphere. England Day 3: Liverpool FC Game! My description of the day we spent in [...]
