Congratulations! Now what? Let me tell you a dirty little secret about upgrading to Windows 7. If you poke [...]

Twitter Q&A: Hashtags

Ever since Sarah (@sarahjoaustin) and I published our series on the True Beginner’s Guide to Twitter and the corresponding eBook, I have been getting questions about Twitter. Some are easily answered in a tweet or quick email, but this one I thought deserved to be a blog post. If you have any questions

True Beginner’s Guide to Twitter: The Collaborative Project is Published

After one particularly fruitful Google Talk conversation with Lorraine, who was getting ready to start promoting her local AIGA chapter on Twitter (@AIGAKC) but who had no idea how to use Twitter and even less time to play around with it, I realized that there is no really good beginner’s guide to using Twitter

New Facebook Design: Thumbs Down

Regular readers of my blog know that I am a huge fan of Twitter, but I haven’t been as vocal about my preference for Facebook. I have always liked it more than MySpace, and I finally had enough friends close their MySpace account and switch to Facebook that I felt like I wouldn’t be losing

Twitter Nation? Give It a Whirl!

Like many before him vehemently raging against a new idea, Alexander Zaitchik has obviously not used Twitter. So often, criticals consider the newest demon only long enough to find fault. They don’t maintain a curious or open mind to give it a fair chance. Twitter is quite often likewise written off immediately without any exploration.

The Best iPhone Note-taking App: Is It Out There?

I recenlty got an iPod Touch, my iTouch (thanks for the syllable-saving sorta-portmanteau of “iPod” and “Touch”, Lorraine!), and as a writer, frequent note-taker, and list-maker, I need a better note app than Notes. I’ve downloaded several (read: pretty much all) of the free apps, but I haven’t found anything that fits my idea of the perfect notes app. I’ll probably be reviewing my favorite ToDo app soon, but the perfect notes app seems to be more difficult to find. Maybe you can help me! Here is what I’m looking for.
