Currently Reading: Put Away the Darn Camera How to Politely Photograph Restaurant Food on CHOW

reading_girlI love food, especially when comes to my table packaged in some eye-pleasing presentation. And I love taking pictures, so when the two meet, I feel a little self-conscious because I know the people around me might not see their food as a photo op. But Helena Echlin offers some advice to help you avoid glares when snapping shots of your delicious entree: don’t use a flash (it’s bad for the shots anyhow), don’t stand up or assume awkward positions, and don’t actually interrupt other diners because you missed a shot. Do you have any to add to the list? I recommend investing in a table-top tripod, which guarantees great shots even in low-light restaurants and slips easily in a purse. (via Lifehacker)
